Ok, so I had this idea that I wish would happen in Half Life 3 but they probably won’t do it. This is about the most of a serious head canon you’ll get from me.
Anyway, I want there to be a part in Half Life 3 where Gordon and the crew decide that only way they can get rid of the Combine on Earth is to send them back the way they came, a dimensional rip. They would use whatever device is on the Borialis, which is probably some advanced interstellar portaling device, but to have a portal large enough to get rid of most of the Combine they need the most powerful computer they can get their hands on.
The most powerful computer that would still be active at this point would be Glados, who is still in the forsaken Apature Laboratories. So Gordon is sent off to retrieve Glados’s Operating system and memory and everything else that would be needed. Upon finding a way into the Apature Labs, Gordon is mistaken to be a test subject (because if anyone finished the multiplayer story of portal 2 you know there are more test subjects).
Only thing is Glados realizes that this test subject is oddly familiar. It’s stubborn, clever, and most of all, it doesn’t speak. When Gordon sneaks out of the tests and faces Glados, she comes to realize that he’s here for her. She obviously won’t want to go, and Gordon will have to take her by force. Awesome boss battle ensues.
But that’s a pipe dream. I just want to go through the Apature Labs as Gordon Freeman and see Glados’s reaction to another stubborn clever mute.

The only thing I see wrong with this is that there’s almost no way to force GLaDOS to do anything. If I recall...
